Daniel Kolodziejczyk (Dan Kolo) 2nd Dan

I started judo because I felt lonely being away from my home country and wanted to start a sport. I have met great people and made good friends through judo and have had a lot of fantastic experiences. I have earned qualifications, including my BJA Level 2 Coaching and have achieved a lot, including winning several competitions. I was the 2012 Northern Ireland lower kyu champion and 2012 higher kyu British champion. I earned my first dan black belt in 2013 and my second dan black belt in 2014. I enjoy both the technical and competition components of judo, and believe that they are both important in the sport. I would encourage anyone to try judo, it is a great sport for children and adults alike and helps build character.
