Kookateki Steps in to do Demo with Flávio Canto

On a recent trip to Las Vegas Jonathan bumped into Flávio Canto, judo bronze medalist at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
Flávio and his team offered Jonathan the chance to take part in their judo demonstration at the UFC Fan Expo……of course Jonathan jumped at the chance to take part – even in his shorts and t-shirt!!!!!
Jonathan could not believe that he had been offered the chance to help showcase judo at such a massive event.
Just last week, after retaining her UFC title, former judo Olympic medalist Ronda Rousey visited Flávio’s Instituto Reação in Rio de Janeiro and presented him with $30,000 and her UFC belt.

About Instituto Reação: Created by Olympic medallist Favio Canto in 2003, it is a non-governmental organisation that promotes human development and social inclusion through sport and education, promoting judo from the sport initiation to high performance. The aim is to use sport as an educational tool and for social transformation forming black belts on and off the mat.
