Kookateki Members Attend Masters Judo Sessions

Over the summer months, a few of the club’s more senior  members travelled from Belfast to take part in the masters/veterans judo training sessions in the Foyle Arena, Derry/Londonderry.

The sessions were organised by Terry Watt and coached by Colin Savage.  The aim was to give those masters, (players over the age of 30), an opportunity to train with players of their own age – although some younger judoka took part.
Under the guidance of Colin Savage, up to 30 judoka practiced movement drills, throwing and ground work techniques, followed by some relatively gentle randori!!!
All those who took part had a brilliant time, and will definitely be trying out some of the techniques they learned at the Northern Ireland Judo Federation Masters Open Competition in Coleraine on Saturday 26th September 2015.
