What is Judo?

Judo is a dynamic martial art with its roots in traditional Japanese Jujutsu, founded by Professor Jigoro Kano in 1883. It was introduced as an Olympic Sport in 1964, and has remained a regular Olympic event ever since.
Judo is translated as “The Gentle Way”, but don’t be misled by the name, judo is an intense and highly effective martial art.
